Cosmos Library News for October 2024
October is a good time to pick up some cozy books, attend a program at our comfy library, or pick up a craft to do while tucked away at home.
Pokémon Club will be held every Thursday in October, 4:00-5:30 p.m. This program is for kids ages 7-18. Children younger than age 8 should be accompanied by a teen or adult caregiver. Parents and grandparents are always welcome to stay and even learn the game along with their children. The library has Pokémon cards to use for the program, so it’s not necessary to bring anything. If kids have their own cards, they are welcome to bring them. It’s free to attend, and there’s no need to sign up.
Cosmos Creation Club is the Cosmos Library’s LEGO program for kids ages 5-18, held on the 3rd Monday of the month from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Children ages 5-7 must be accompanied by a teen or adult caregiver. There’s no need to sign up, and everything is provided.
The library will offer a take-home craft for kids beginning Tuesday, October 8, while supplies last. This month it’s a hedgehog. As always, kits are free, limited to one per child.
Kids are invited to trick or treat at Cosmos Library on Halloween: Thursday, October 31. The library is open 2:00-6:00 p.m. that day. A variety of food and non-food treats will be available!
